Just as every outfit needs a statement-making accessory, every home needs a centerpiece! Meet the heart of my Clinton Hill townhouse, my mantel, and find out all the varied & resourceful ways that I’m styling it for the holiday season! Did I mention: you don’t have to have a mantel to test these tricks. Try them on any focal point in your home: a dining table, an entryway vignette, a favorite coffee table, styled amongst wine on your bar cart, the opportunities are endless!
Rhapsody in Bloom:
For a foolproof way to liven up the living room (and deny the impending winter season), I snagged fresh-cut flowers to accent an “endless summer” mantelpiece. Our Hawkins New York Glassware and Skultuna Watering Can are perfect pieces to complement the bouquets, and artwork from calligrapher Stephanie Fishwick (available on our site!) brings an added pop of color for a more-is-more look. The finishing touch? Light a colorful candle in our Grand Boule Candlestick to set the mood!
Reaching New Heights:
Dressed up with the timeless designs from Skultuna, the Swedish metal masters, this mantelpiece shines. I let the easy elegance of this stunning brassware speak for itself, playing with height to make the spread dynamic and eye-catching.
Made for Minimalists:
You don’t have to pull out all the stops for a wow-worthy mantel! Pick high-impact pieces, like the moody Grand Boule Candlestick and Hawkins New York’s Cast Iron Bowls, for a minimalist arrangement with maximum effect!
The Heritage Piece Remix:
Think that decor updates always require newness? Think again! Don’t be afraid to mix-and-match the pieces you already have for a completely fresh look. Why buy more when you can breathe new life into the things you already own?
*many of the elements on this mantle can also be found in my Rhapsody in Bloom mantel*
