I tried to stay open minded and pursue a general direction rather than something specific. I was confident I’d know when I found the right pieces. My other jewelry was more serious, so I knew I wanted my earrings to give my look a little levity.
How / when did you know you found THE piece for your special day?:
When people ask me that, I joke and say that they found me. I was on my way out of Hampden in Charleston and saw what ended up being my dress out of the corner of my eye. I pulled that exact dress as one of my options when I was toying with looks online, so I tried it. I knew right when I put it on. I tried the earrings with it right after and the rest is history. What’s funny is, between buying the earrings and eloping, I actually met Lizzie briefly at a panel discussion. She was so incredibly warm and sincere. It made it all the more special to be wearing something Lizzie Fortunato on the big day.

What were you looking for when selecting your wedding jewels?:
Because my dress was so simple/minimal, I was looking for earrings that were neutral in color but brought a pop of unexpected fun and personality to my look. It was also important to me I wore something of style and quality I would want to wear and could enjoy long after the wedding.
How did you know you found THE piece?:
The gold, pearl and rust silk coil earrings all coordinated with our color scheme, while feeling a little vintage, a little modern and very “me”. I loved the way they looked with the lace of my veil and my pink lip color.
Can you tell us a little more about getting your bridesmaids in LFJ?: What was that process like?:
They wore simple black dresses, so I wanted to gift them some fun earrings to wear day-of, in an effort to tie their look in with my dress and jewels. I thought, why not coordinate their earrings with mine?! For each bridesmaid, I picked out a few different LFJ earrings that felt like “them” but would also work with what I was wearing and had them choose which one they wanted.

What were you looking for when selecting your wedding jewels?:
I knew I wanted pearls, but I was also looking for something really unique since my ceremony gown was VERY unique.
How did you know you found THE piece?:
I actually saw the Formation earrings on Chriselle Lim and had saved them a long time before I found my dress. Once I found my dress I instantly knew those were it. I couldn’t stop thinking about them!
Any advice for brides to be?:
Don’t be afraid to choose something different! It’s really easy to get sucked into going the traditional route, but you will be happiest if you just go with your gut and just be yourself!

What were you looking for when selecting your rehearsal dinner jewels?:
I wanted bold and colorful earrings to compliment the print of my pants. I actually designed the fabric and had my rehearsal dinner outfit made! There are some fun pops of coral in the pattern that I wanted to highlight.
How did you know you found THE piece?:
We got married on an island so I already planned to wear my hair up and I knew the oversized tassels would be the perfect statement jewels! When I saw the cuff, it was a no-brainer. I’d stack all of them if I could.
When looking back on your rehearsal dinner, what moment stands out the most?:
Our best friends and family members taking the time to write speeches and give toasts. So many laughs, tears, and a few surprises, ha! My husband blew me away with his toast at the end of the night. It was so special to have all of our favorite people together at one dinner.

What were you looking for when selecting your wedding jewels?:
I was only looking for earrings since I typically do not wear a lot of jewelry and the style of my dress was suited best to highlight earrings. I, of course, knew I wanted to wear LFJ so that part was easy!
How / when did you know you found THE piece for your special day?:
The twins offered me a few options, most I think were special wedding pieces they created that year since there were a lot of weddings in 2017 (including theirs!). Once I had my hair done that day, I decided on the earrings, they were absolutely PERFECT for the look I was going for.
When looking back on your wedding day, what moment stands out the most?:
Being surrounded by all the family and friends that Adam and I love dearly, marrying my best friend and simply enjoying every moment of that day/weekend.
