Kathryn & I popped back down to Charleston for New Years to visit our recently-relocated friend Kate. If you recall, she has worked on set with Wes Anderson & Garance Dore, so it’s no surprise that her new home is beautifully put together and brimming with personality.
I love the intersection of old world charm and new school art & design in Charleston; not to mention the bevy of great food options (we loved Indaco for dinner and New Years recovery lunch at Hominy Grill)…

Together with old friends from Delaware and a slew of Kate’s wonderful new friends in Charleston, we rang in the New Year in style. We scoured the city’s thrift stores for the perfect NYE costumes (we really scored at The Exchange Factor), baked an equally flamboyant cake, and mixed up a big bowl of aperol spritz… couldn’t have asked for a better way to start ’14!
