Fine art plays such a role in the inspiration for my accessories… Matisse, Jean Arp, Georgia O’Keefe and Picasso have helped to inform recent collections:
…So, I was incredibly excited to collaborate with one of my favorite current artists, Sally King Benedict, on a leather goods capsule that has just hit stores. I’ve admired Sally’s work for so long (and have one of her signature faces hanging in my kitchen); her pieces really make me smile.
Sally and I worked together to customize her designs and develop them in exclusive colorways for a 6 piece Spring/Summer 2016 collaboration. We printed her unique paintings on leather and canvas and assembled them (proudly, in NYC!) into totes, bucket bags, and pouches. The result is the perfect marriage of art and aesthetics: super lightweight (free of hardware & so comfortable to carry) pieces that make a statement:
And a peak at the entire assortment; we’re so thrilled with how it came together. Now you can have Sally on your bag & on your wall!
The icing on the cake… Sally & I are thrilled to share the collab in New York Times Thursday Styles:
So excited about our art x leather goods collab and I’m so grateful to Sally for lending her incredible hand to our collection. Shop it now!
